    Years ago when I was training in a martial arts gy Years ago when I was training in a martial arts gym I was always going regularly and never missed out, but even though I enjoyed the training a lot of the time I sometimes hated it so I still had to have a lot of discipline to keep going.  The training was very hard but at the time I was pretty happy most of the time with what I was doing.

When I discovered training for Figure competition, I knew I had found my home.  That’s when I can honestly say that I started to LOVE training. I felt like that was what I was meant to do, and even though the training is even harder, it never felt like I needed as much willpower as before, because I couldn’t even imagine not going to the gym.

Now, post-depression I am back in the gym working on building my physique back, but things are different again. I no longer intend to compete, and even though I have high expectations for my new physique I suddenly feel a lot freer without the strict requirements of training for Figure. I have new fitness role models now, and just knowing that there’s nothing that “has to be done” in the gym makes it even more enjoyable still to be there.

That’s what a difference having a goal that you’re passionate about makes.  While people are discussing which diet or which workout plan is best to get a great physique, the real secret is to have a meaningful goal.  That’s what matters more than anything else to your results.  When you’re passionate about what you’re doing, everything else will fall into place.  So work on finding what goal means most to you, then get to work! – Gloria. (Sorry for the long post!!)
