The Journey Begins . . .

Well it’s my first week of Team Bombshell training this week, and already I’ve learned so much!

Of course there are heaps of new exercises and nutrition tips I’ve learned about, that’s to be expected.  But the most eye-opening part of the experience for me so far has been seeing what discipline and dedication is all about at this level.  It’s easy to look at a Team Bombshell competitor and say, “oh yeah, she must train hard”, but it’s difficult to really understand what that means until you actually see what it takes.

I’ve always trained hard in the gym, at my old gym they nicknamed me “The Machine” because I worked so hard. I would train anywhere from 6 to 12 times a week, depending on how much time I had, sometimes more.  Bombshell training is tough even by my standards, but perhaps what’s even tougher is the lifestyle. That’s something I didn’t expect.

Preparation doesn’t end when you walk out of the gym, it’s constant – it never ends.  Just about every waking moment you’re living the ultra-disciplined Bombshell lifestyle.  There are a whole bunch of secret ninja techniques that Shannon has the Bombshells do (I could tell you what they are, but then I’d have to kill you!) – these are practically an all-day affair and an important part of the reason why Bombshells are a cut above the rest.

To be a  Bombshell, you have to want it bad enough.  Otherwise there’s no way you’re going to put up with the training and lifestyle.  You’ll just take one look at the program, conclude that these women are all insane, and move on.

But here’s the other great thing I’ve learned – the dedication and drive among this incredible group of women are just infectious!  Just interacting with them pushes you to work harder and harder.  There’s so much support, warmth, and goodwill from Shannon and among all the Bombshells, both new and experienced, it just inspires and fuels your motivation every day!  You won’t find any attitude or egos here at all, just a really welcoming and ultra-supportive sisterhood.

I’m slowly getting settled into my new routine and lifestyle and am really excited about where this journey is going to take me.  I’m so lucky to have come across Momma Bombshell Shannon Dey and to have such a terrific and inspiring group of new sisters!!
